In recognition of her exceptional dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care, and in support of her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), it is with great enthusiasm that Tashiana Scott, RN, has been named the recipient of this Nursing Scholarship.
With over 15 years of nursing experience, including service as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Tashiana exemplifies the very essence of nursing — compassion, professionalism, adaptability, and reliability. She consistently demonstrates a deep commitment to improving the lives of patients through empathy, clinical excellence, and advocacy. Her presence brings stability, confidence, and warmth to every environment she serves.
A native Rochesterian, Tashiana joined Jordan Health Center a little over one year ago as the Practice Manager for Peds and Ob, after previously serving the organization from 2012 to 2016. She often shares that Jordan Health feels like home — a sentiment reflected in her loyalty, passion for community health, and pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to underserved populations. New to leadership, Tashiana has solidified her position as not only a skilled nurse leader, but a trusted resource for both frontline staff and the leadership team.
Currently, Tashiana is pursuing her BSN at Capella University, building upon her nursing degree from Bryant & Stratton College. Her long-term professional goal is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) — an ambition that reflects her drive for continued growth, excellence, and advanced clinical contribution to the field of nursing.
Staff consistently describe Tashiana as a supportive and dependable leader to all team members, patients, and clinicians. They value that she is a hands-on manager who willingly works side-by-side with her staff, demonstrating that no task is beneath her and that teamwork is a shared responsibility. She is frequently recognized for her encouraging nature, calm demeanor, and genuine care for both patients and employees. Team members note that she listens attentively, remains consistently professional, and creates an environment where staff feel valued and understood. Many express that she goes above and beyond for her department and is always available to offer guidance and support. It is a pleasure for staff to work under her leadership, with several stating she is the best manager they have ever had.
